District Information

As of January 1, 2021, the NSCHD Board will transfer control of the hospital over to NorCal HealthConnect, a secular affiliate of Providence St. Joseph Health.

Healdsburg District Hospital (HDH) was founded in 1905 and was operated by the North Sonoma County Healthcare District (NSCHD) until December 31, 2020.  The district was formed in 2001 and began operating the hospital in 2002. Governance is by a five-member, publicly elected board, each serving four-year terms.

The North Sonoma County Healthcare District is mainly comprised of Windsor, Healdsburg, Geyserville, Cloverdale and the surrounding areas, totaling approximately 60,000 residents. The hospital currently serves over 10,000 patients a year.
