The Center for Women’s Health is a gynecology practice founded by Dr. Laura Kimbro, DO, FACOG, NCMP, a highly regarded expert specializing in the treatment of hormonal imbalances, vulvar conditions, and problems that affect sexual health in women of all ages. These are clinical issues that often profoundly affect women’s personal health, well-being and intimate relationships.
Dr. Kimbro provides a nurturing environment where women feel comfortable, genuinely cared for and encouraged to share their personal and health concerns. Her approach considers a woman’s physical, psychological and emotional well-being. She offers a collaborative, guided style and a truly patient-centered approach to medicine that is both respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs and values.
With an undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Biologic Sciences, Dr. Kimbro received her medical degree at Southeastern University of Osteopathic Medicine. Her residency was performed at Banner University Medical Center (formerly Good Samaritan) in Phoenix, Arizona. She practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for 20 years and is a specialist in menopause and sexual health.
A board certified fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) Certified Practitioner, Dr. Kimbro is also an active member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
