Dr. Andolsen has practiced medicine in the same office since 1978.  He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  He is also an Aviation Medical Examiner and performs physicals for pilots, is a designated Civil Surgeon for the Department of Homeland Security, and performs physical evaluations for those seeking permanent residence in the U.S.  He has extensive experience with work-related injuries, Worker’s Compensation and serves as the Medical Director for Healdsburg District Hospital’s Occupational Medicine Department.

He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to California in 1969.  His initial degree was in philosophy and subsequently in biochemistry.  Dr. Andolsen taught high school for two years, attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed his family practice residency at the former Santa Rosa Community Hospital.

Dr. Andolsen has been married for 35 years.  Both of his children are married, and he has one grandchild.  His “hobby” is a vineyard that has produced some award-winning Cabernet under the labels of Sbragia Family Vineyards and Thumbprint Cellars.
