Gary M. LeKander, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Gary M. LeKander is proud to be working with Healdsburg District Hospital, specializing in all aspects of pulmonary disease in adults.

Background: Dr. LeKander has practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine in Santa Rosa from 2000-2007 and acted as the Asthma Champion and Pulmonary Director of an outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program in Santa Rosa.

In 2008, Dr. LeKander joined HDH as Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and the Kozel Stroke Institute.  His accomplishments with HDH include opening the Patricia and Raymond Chambers ICU in early 2008 and providing continuous support to our Northern California Wound Care Program.

Medical School: Dr. LeKander is a board-certified physician in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and an elected Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, TX, and completed his Internal Medicine residency as Chief Resident at Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. LeKander also completed his Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, AZ, as well as a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM.
